COLUMBUS, OH.- Today, CompEx, Inc. (MobiKids SM ) announced an innovative technology utilizing a mobile service tailored to help automate and expedite the technical assistance needed when a child is reported missing or lost.
The amazing face recognition technology utilized by the portal plays a central role in the expeditious automated identification and appropriate location based mobile service used to identify missing children at various popular locations such as malls, movie theaters and theme parks. The success of MobiKids SM portal efforts to assist distressed parents to find their missing children is based on a social networking phenomenon where every registered parent on the MobiKids SM network plays a role as the eyes and ears of the network which can be engaged at moment’s notice to the community of parents helping parents find a missing child. Working in cooperation with federal law enforcement agencies, MobiKids SM is here to help lend a hand to parents to quickly identify the missing child and help locate him/her based on their last known location. To help expedite this process, a team of software developers and scientist, helped created innovative GEO positioning software tools utilizing tower triangulation and GPS services built into some phones to help parents in the area of the missing child quickly identify possible volunteers to help in the search of a missing child using the MobiKids SM network. The technology pinnacle is reached through the use of the mobiglyphs engine which can recognize the child through innovative video and face matching technology.
The MobiKids SM technology will enable all camera cell phone carrying parents to engage in the search for a missing child based on their proximity of the last know location of the child in question. Parents who think that they have found or identified the missing child can quickly take a picture of the child using a cell phone and immediately get a positive confirmation if that is the missing child in question. Comparing these images through an automated process enabled by the Mobiglyphs technology has a real potential to assist law enforcement in quickly identifying the missing child in the most critical time window when they are first reported missing. The technology also leverages the social network aspect of mobile phones to engage the community of camera phone carrying parents to help in the search.
"CompEx, Inc, is focused on creating innovative technologies to help mankind in the quest of creating practical cutting edge solutions," said Garrett Greenlee, Senior Vice President of marketing at CompEx, Inc. "The technology we build will allow everyone with a camera phone regardless of the carrier or plan to engage in the search to help find missing children before they have a chance to be abducted or get a chance to wonder away into harm’s way.
